Fishing & Boat Accessories

User-facing boat accessories often need function and appearance at the same time. Custom casting gives designers greater freedom with shape, mounting angle, integrated features, and the final finished surface.

Rigging & General Marine Fittings

Connection, fastening, and mounting fittings may be small, but their geometry is often closely tied to the equipment around them. We manufacture these parts to the required interface rather than forcing the design around a standard fitting.

Marine Hardware Made for Your Product — Not a Standard Catalog

We focus on custom and OEM marine hardware manufacturing, rather than off-the-shelf retail products. Each component can be manufactured according to your required geometry, material, dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and inspection criteria. Whether you are developing a new boat fitting or sourcing an existing component, we can support the project from tooling and casting through machining, finishing, and final inspection. Our marine hardware experience covers components used on boats, yachts, marine equipment, deck systems, rail systems, anchoring assemblies, access systems, fishing equipment, and other marine applications.

Typical Marine Hardware We Cast

From polished deck fittings to functional mounting and connection parts, the examples below show the range of marine hardware that can be developed through custom casting.

Have a Marine Hardware Drawing or Sample?

Send us the part information you already have. A drawing or 3D model gives us the clearest starting point, but an existing customer-owned sample can also be used to begin the manufacturing review. We will identify the material, tooling, machining, finishing, and inspection information still needed for quotation.

Materials for Marine Hardware

Material selection depends on corrosion exposure, mechanical load, weight, appearance, and the environment in which the component will operate.

Stainless Steel

A common choice for marine fittings where corrosion resistance, mechanical performance, and finished appearance all matter. Stainless steel also works well with investment casting, CNC machining, blasting, and polishing.

Aluminum Alloys

Suitable where reducing weight is an important part of the product design. Aluminum can be considered for bases, brackets, housings, accessory components, and other marine parts where low mass is beneficial.

Carbon & Alloy Steel

Used where strength, toughness, wear resistance, or mechanical loading takes priority over inherent corrosion resistance. An appropriate protective finish can be specified for marine service conditions.

Investment Casting for Custom Marine Hardware

Investment casting is our primary process for custom marine hardware, especially when a part combines curved surfaces, integrated mounting features, detailed geometry, corrosion-resistant alloys, and visible finished surfaces.
Features such as bosses, ribs, mounting ears, transitions, logos, and connection geometry can often be formed directly in the casting. This allows machining to focus on holes, threads, mating surfaces, and other areas that actually require tighter dimensional control.
The manufacturing route is reviewed around the part rather than forcing every design into the same process. Geometry, material, size, quantity, machining, finish, and inspection requirements are considered together before tooling begins.

From Tooling to Finished Marine Hardware

By keeping the major production and inspection stages under one coordinated manufacturing system, we can manage the component from the first tooling review through machining, finishing, and final release.

Engineering & Manufacturing Review

We review geometry, wall thickness, machining allowance, tolerances, material, finish, and critical features before tooling begins.

Tooling Design & Mold Making

Investment-casting tooling is designed and manufactured in-house, keeping mold development closely connected with sampling and production.

Investment Casting

The main part geometry is produced through a controlled casting process planned around the alloy, shape, size, and quality requirements of the component.

Heat Treatment & CNC Machining

Heat treatment is applied where required, followed by machining of mounting holes, threads, mating surfaces, and other drawing-defined features.

Blasting, Grinding & Polishing

Common post-processing such as abrasive blasting, shot blasting, grinding, deburring, and polishing can be completed within our own production system.

Inspection & Final Release

Material, mechanical, dimensional, surface, and nondestructive inspections are applied according to the agreed requirements before shipment.

Machining and Surface Finishing

Casting creates the main geometry, but many marine parts still need finished interfaces before they can enter assembly. We machine holes, threads, mounting faces, locating features, and other critical dimensions according to the drawing.
Common finishing operations including abrasive blasting, shot blasting, grinding, deburring, and polishing can be handled within our own facility. This is especially useful for visible stainless steel deck hardware, where casting quality, machining, and final appearance need to be considered together.
When a project requires a specialized surface treatment outside our normal in-house processes, we coordinate it through long-term qualified suppliers and remain responsible for managing the part through final inspection.

Inspection for Marine Hardware

The inspection plan follows the part rather than a fixed checklist. We select the required checks according to the specified material, mechanical properties, critical dimensions, casting integrity, surface condition, and corrosion-related requirements.

Material Composition

Spectrometric analysis can be used to verify alloy chemistry against the specified material grade.

Tensile Testing

Tensile properties can be verified when required by the drawing, material standard, or customer specification.

Hardness Testing

Hardness testing helps confirm material condition and heat-treatment results where mechanical performance is specified.

CMM Inspection

Critical mounting positions, hole locations, mating features, profiles, and other controlled dimensions can be verified by CMM.

X-Ray Inspection

Radiographic inspection can be applied when internal casting integrity needs to be evaluated for critical components.

Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection

FPI can be used to detect surface-breaking discontinuities that may not be visible during normal visual inspection.

Salt Spray Testing

Salt spray testing is available when specified for evaluating corrosion-related performance of materials, coatings, or surface treatments.

Visual & Surface Inspection

Appearance, polishing consistency, burrs, surface condition, and other agreed cosmetic requirements are checked before final release.

Marine Hardware FAQs

Practical answers about custom marine hardware manufacturing, materials, finishing, inspection, and starting an OEM project with YTD.

Our main focus is custom and OEM manufacturing rather than retailing standard catalog hardware. Parts are normally manufactured according to the customer’s drawing, model, sample, material, finish, and quantity requirements.

Typical products include cleats, bollards, fairleads, anchor fittings, rail bases, handrail fittings, tube connectors, hinges, latches, rod holders, antenna bases, water fittings, deck drains, ladder hardware, pipe fittings, rigging fittings, and other custom cast components.

We manufacture marine components in stainless steel, aluminum alloys, carbon steel, and alloy steel. The final grade should be selected according to corrosion exposure, mechanical load, weight, finish, and the customer’s specification.

Investment casting is well suited to many marine parts with curved surfaces, integrated mounting features, detailed geometry, and demanding appearance requirements. It can create much of the part near its finished shape so machining can focus on critical interfaces.
