YTD’s approach
Customer requirement

CF8M for foodservice equipment

The valve body was specified in CF8M stainless steel for use in foodservice equipment.
YTD’s approach

Cast in the specified material

YTD produced the body in CF8M using the silica sol investment casting process.
Customer requirement

Body geometry and assembly interfaces

The component combines internal cavities and rotary connection features with mating surfaces that require machining.
YTD’s approach

Cast the body. Machine the mating surfaces.

Investment casting formed the body geometry. Subsequent machining finished the key mating surfaces for assembly with the pump’s other components.
Customer requirement

Stainless steel balls included in the delivery scope

The project also included custom stainless steel balls and their installation inside the valve body.
YTD’s approach

Coordinate the components and complete installation.

YTD arranged the custom steel balls and installed them in the machined valve bodies before delivery.

Cast Geometry
Machined Mating Surfaces

The valve body brings internal cavities and rotary connection features together in a compact stainless steel casting.

Silica sol investment casting formed the body, while machining finished the key mating surfaces used to connect it to the rest of the pump assembly.

Discuss Your Part’s Key Features

Custom Stainless Steel Balls, Supplied and Installed

The stainless steel balls visible inside the valve body are separate components installed after casting. YTD arranged these custom components and completed their installation before delivery.

The supply scope covered the CF8M casting, key mating-surface machining and steel ball installation, bringing these steps together in one project.

Material Reporting & Corrosion Testing

Project checks & documentation

For this condiment dispensing application, corrosion resistance was a project requirement. Salt spray testing was carried out to evaluate the valve body’s corrosion resistance, and a material report was prepared for the CF8M stainless steel casting.
