What We Do for Consumer Product Teams

Develop New Products

A drawing or 3D model is enough to begin. We help turn early product concepts into manufacturable metal parts while considering function, appearance, assembly, and production cost.

Improve Castability

Wall transitions, radii, draft angles, and machining allowances can affect filling, shrinkage, and distortion. We review these details early and suggest changes without losing the product’s intended form or function.

Build and Test Tooling

Tooling is developed and tested through samples before repeat production begins. Critical dimensions, mating features, and visible surfaces can then be checked while adjustments are still practical.

Match Process to Volume

A process that makes sense for a few hundred parts may become unnecessarily expensive at ten thousand. We consider tooling investment, unit cost, geometry, and expected demand when planning the production route.

Deliver Finished Components

A consumer product part is rarely complete when it leaves the mold. Casting can be followed by CNC finishing, surface treatment, marking, and simple assembly to produce components ready for the next production stage.

Support Repeat Production

Approved samples, finish specifications, and critical dimensions provide a clear reference for later orders. This helps keep appearance, fit, and function consistent as production continues.

Home & Kitchen

Precision cast components for cookware, appliances, fixtures, and hardware—combining durable materials, refined finishes, and scalable production from prototypes to volume orders.

Sports & Outdoor

Strong, corrosion-resistant parts for fitness equipment, outdoor gear, recreational products, and sporting accessories, engineered for reliability, safety, and demanding everyday use.

Consumer Electronics

Compact, high-precision metal components for devices, housings, hinges, mounts, and thermal solutions, with consistent tolerances, smooth finishes, and production-ready quality.

Tools & Hardware

Durable cast parts for hand tools, power-tool components, locks, fasteners, brackets, and general hardware, built for strength, fit, and long service life.

Consumer Product Applications We Support

We manufacture the visible and functional metal parts used across everyday products, with each component made to the customer’s design and finish requirements.

Materials for Consumer Products

We consider requirements like weight, function, and appearance together with part geometry and production volume before recommending an alloy.
All Materials

Stainless Steel

This reliable alloy is widely use in both indoor and outdoor applications. It can meet a broad range of requirements for corrosion resistance, appearance, surface feel, food-contact safety, and long-term durability.
Learn More

Aluminum Alloy

This material is favored in sports equipment, outdoor gear, and electronics for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio. At YTD, we can cast it with die casting and investment casting to build reliable components.

Carbon & Alloy Steel

When your products need to carry load, transfer force, resist wear, or survive repeated impact, we offer a wide range of grades of carbon and alloy steel, combining suitable casting processes to meet your performance requirements.
Learn More

Magnesium Alloy

Available in die casting, this material is lighter than aluminum alloy and is widely used in electronic products that require weight reduction and thin-wall structures. Typical applications include electronic frames and housings.
