Custom Cast Housings Built Around Your Assembly

The cast body creates the structure. The machined interfaces decide whether it fits. YTD plans both together, giving you one supplier for the complete housing.

Cast Housings for Different Equipment

Use the examples below to find the closest starting point. Your housing does not need to match a catalog shape. YTD builds it around the assembly, mounting and connections shown in your design.

One-Piece and Split Cast Housings

How the equipment is assembled often decides whether the housing stays in one piece or opens into matched sections. YTD develops the casting and machining around that choice, so the finished housing suits the way your product is built and serviced.

One-Piece Housings

A one-piece casting can replace several joined components and give machining one stable body to work from.

Split Housings

When the housing must open for assembly or service, both sections are handled as one matched component. The joint faces, locating features and fastener pattern are finished to the approved drawing so the housing closes around the assembly as intended.

Cast Housing Materials

Many buyers arrive with the alloy already fixed. If yours is still open, tell us what the housing will carry and the conditions it will face; YTD can review the material together with the casting route.

As-Cast, Machined or Finished Housings

Choose the point at which the housing should enter your production. YTD can supply the casting alone, complete the drawing-defined machining, or coordinate a finished part for delivery. Keeping more of that work in one order reduces the handoffs your team has to manage.

As-Cast Housings

Receive a cleaned casting with machining stock left where your team will finish the part.

Machined Housings

Receive the housing with the bores, seats and faces on your drawing completed before delivery.

Finished Housings

Add the specified treatment, inspection and packing when you want the part to arrive ready for your next operation.

Send the best reference you have. YTD can start with a drawing, model or sample, review the whole housing and identify a practical route to production.

Casting Processes for Custom Housings

Choosing the casting process is part of making the housing, and it does not have to be settled before you contact us.

Investment casting is often a strong fit for detailed steel or stainless steel housings. Larger sections may point to sand casting, while repeat aluminum parts may favor die casting.

Bring us the finished-part requirement. YTD reviews the whole project and recommends the route we would use to quote and produce it.

CNC Machining for Housing Interfaces

Casting gives the housing its body. CNC machining makes it fit the assembly. YTD uses in-house four-axis equipment to finish the drawing-defined bores, bearing seats, mating faces and mounting points.

Because casting and machining are planned by one team, stock, datums and critical relationships can be considered before the tooling is released. Responsibility for the raw geometry and final fit stays within the same project.

Housing Inspection and First-Part Approval

The right inspection plan depends on the risks in the housing and what your team needs to accept it. We agree that plan before production and use the approved first part as the reference for repeat orders.

Material Verification

For iron- and nickel-based alloys, YTD checks chemistry with its in-house spectrometer. Hardness or tensile results can be added when the specification calls for them.

Dimensional Inspection

We check the finished housing against the drawing, with CMM reporting available where critical interfaces need a formal dimensional record.

Casting Inspection

The project plan includes the agreed casting checks. Fluorescent penetrant or X-ray examination can be arranged when the specification calls for a closer look at surface or internal integrity.

First-Part Reference

The approved first part, drawing and inspection results give future batches a clear reference.

From Drawing to Repeat Production

You do not need to arrive with a finished manufacturing plan. Start with the clearest part reference you have; we turn it into a defined casting, machining and inspection plan as the project moves forward.

Review the Housing

A drawing or 3D model is the clearest starting point, although a sample or current part can also begin the discussion.

Define the Manufacturing Plan

Our proposal brings the casting route, tooling, machining and inspection into one quoted scope.

Approve the First Parts

The first parts give your team something real to measure and, where relevant, assemble before the batch proceeds.

Start Repeat Production

After approval, the drawing, accepted part and inspection plan remain the production reference for later batches.

Inside YTD Foundry

YTD has been making custom castings since 2008 and has produced housing parts in many different forms. Our 60+ person team works from a 10,000+ square meter facility where tooling, investment casting and CNC machining come together. That gives your housing project one team from the first review to repeat production.

Request a Cast Housing Quote

Send what you have today. We will review the complete housing, identify the missing details that affect the quote and shape the manufacturing route around your requirements.

Part Reference

Upload the current drawing or 3D model if you have one. A sample or clear photos can also start the discussion when the original files are missing.

Material & Service

Share the specified grade when it is fixed. If it is still open, tell us what the housing must carry and the environment in which it will work.

Quantity & Delivery

Tell us the expected quantity and whether you need a clean casting, a machined housing or a finished part. Include any treatment or inspection records your order requires.
