Shipping Terms

1. Shipping Arrangements

YTD Foundry offers flexible shipping arrangements for custom casting orders. Shipments can be arranged through your nominated freight forwarder or coordinated by our team.

The shipping method, trade term, destination and associated charges are confirmed in the quotation or order confirmation for each order.

2. Available Shipping Methods

We support the following shipping methods:

  • Sea freight and delivery: Suitable for larger production orders and heavy castings where transportation cost is a priority.
  • Air freight and delivery: Suitable for orders with tighter delivery schedules.
  • Express courier: Suitable for samples, smaller shipments and urgent parts.
  • China–Europe rail freight and delivery: Available for destinations served by suitable rail routes and onward delivery services.

Delivery to your address can be arranged where available and included in the agreed shipping terms. The available options depend on the destination, shipment size and service availability.

3. Freight Forwarder Arrangements

You may nominate your own freight forwarder to handle the shipment. Please provide their contact details and shipping instructions when confirming your order so that we can coordinate the agreed handover.

Alternatively, YTD can arrange shipping for you. Please share your delivery address, postal code, preferred shipping method and any required arrival date when requesting a quotation.

4. Supported Trade Terms

We support DDP, FOB and CIF arrangements, together with duty-unpaid delivery requests commonly described as DDU.

DDP — Delivered Duty Paid

We arrange transportation to the agreed destination and handle import clearance, including applicable import duties and taxes. The buyer receives and unloads the goods at the agreed delivery point.

DDP availability is subject to the requirements of the destination country and the agreed delivery location.

DDU — Delivered Duty Unpaid

For duty-unpaid delivery arrangements, we arrange transportation to the agreed destination, while the buyer handles import clearance and pays the applicable import duties and taxes.

DDU is a legacy term and is not included in Incoterms® 2020. Where a customer requests DDU, we confirm the intended responsibilities and the applicable rule and edition, including whether DAP — Delivered at Place — is appropriate.

FOB — Free On Board

We handle export clearance and deliver the goods aboard the buyer’s nominated vessel at the agreed port of shipment. The buyer arranges the main sea transport and subsequent import and delivery arrangements.

CIF — Cost, Insurance and Freight

We arrange sea freight and cargo insurance to the agreed destination port. The buyer handles import clearance, duties and taxes, and onward delivery beyond that port.

FOB and CIF apply to sea and inland waterway transport. Under both rules, risk transfers when the goods are aboard the vessel at the port of shipment. Under CIF, our payment of freight and insurance to the destination port does not change that risk-transfer point.

The quotation or order confirmation identifies the agreed trade term, named place or port and applicable Incoterms® edition.

5. Shipping Charges and Customs

Shipping charges depend on the destination, packed weight and dimensions, transport method and agreed trade term.

Responsibility for freight, customs clearance, duties, taxes and destination charges follows the agreed shipping terms. Any destination handling charges not included in the freight arrangement should be clarified before shipment.

Please advise us of any specific import documentation or receiving requirements when requesting your quotation.

6. Production and Transit Times

Production lead time and shipping transit time are separate parts of the delivery schedule.

Estimated transit times depend on the selected route, carrier schedules and customs processing. Shipping estimates are not guaranteed arrival dates unless expressly agreed in writing.

If your project requires delivery by a particular date, please tell us before confirming the order so that we can review the available shipping options.

7. Shipping Enquiries

To discuss shipping for your casting order, please provide your part details or order reference, quantity, delivery country and postal code.

You may also specify your preferred shipping method, trade term or nominated freight forwarder.
