Casting Quality Control FAQs
Can you provide material and inspection reports?
Yes. Reports can be provided for the material, mechanical, dimensional and other tests agreed for your order. If you need a particular report format or document set, share it with your enquiry so we can confirm what is required.
Can you provide material and inspection reports?
Yes. Reports can be provided for the material, mechanical, dimensional and other tests agreed for your order. If you need a particular report format or document set, share it with your enquiry so we can confirm what is required.
Can you inspect to my drawing or a specified standard?
We can review your drawing, material specification and required inspection standard, then confirm the applicable checks. Please identify critical features and any acceptance criteria so the test method, coverage and reporting can be agreed before production.
Do you offer 100% inspection?
Inspection coverage is agreed for each project. If you need every part checked for specific dimensions or defects, include that requirement in your enquiry so we can confirm feasibility and scope. Tests that consume or damage a specimen, such as tensile testing, require a separate sampling plan.
When does quality control begin?
It begins during mold design, with casting simulation and tooling optimization to address potential problems early. For investment casting, wax patterns are also inspected and manually refined before shell building. Material and part inspections then follow the agreed project requirements.
What should I include with my inspection requirements?
Send your drawing or 3D model, material grade, order quantity and critical tolerances, together with any required tests, acceptance criteria and reports. If the test requirements are still being defined, describe the part’s application so we can discuss the options. You can include these details with your casting enquiry.
